Bayona (The Impossible, A Monster Calls, Society of the Snow).

Their work on Pan’s Labyrinth earned them the Academy Award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling in 2007, and in 2024 they received another Oscar nomination for Society of the Snow. The duo has also won multiple Goya Awards and the European Film Award for Makeup & Hair.

David’s artistry blends technical mastery with a deep sense of storytelling, and he continues to push the boundaries of prosthetics, creature design, and cinematic makeup. Alongside Montse, he is currently developing a special effects museum in Barcelona, celebrating their career and the craft of movie magic.
