- About TICKETS for the Event
1) ABOUT THE PROSTHETICS EVENT
What is the Prosthetics Event?
It’s an educational and shopping event for people interested in prosthetics, make-up FX and related fields, and their use in everything from major film and television productions to scare attractions and cosplay. It caters for professionals, students, hobbyists and fans alike within a culture of knowledge-sharing and learning. The schedule comprises a full day of demonstrations and educational classes on the Main Stage as well as a back-to-back schedule on the Education Stage. There are also demos on stands plus sale of products, materials and equipment. The Monster Mash exhibition shows an array of prosthetic creatures and makeup FX by various artists, and the Application Station and Body Art competitions are always with competitors creating work ready for judging at the end of the day.
When is the Event, where and what time?
This year the Event is on Saturday 16th November 2024 at the Coventry Building Society Arena, (previously known as Ricoh Arena).
The Event opens at 9 am and runs until 5 pm.
Why is it only one day and based in Coventry?
By basing ourselves in Coventry we are more accessible to a much larger area of the UK; 70% of the UK’s population live within a 2-hour drive of CBS Arena. This allows people to attend on a day trip as opposed to having to book hotels. An event run over two days can be cost-prohibitive for attendees, and they often have a sense of disappointment that they’re missing out if they can’t afford to be there for both days.
How can I get involved in the Event?
If you’re interested in volunteering, demonstrating or exhibiting please email us for information at info@TheProstheticsEvent.com
Are there other activities by The Prosthetics Event throughout the year?
Subscribe to our social media channels and/or newsletter to be kept up to date
2) ABOUT VISITING THE EVENT VENUE ON THE DAY
What time do the doors open?
9am sharp – please be aware there are usually queues much earlier than this. Have your ticket and ID (if required) ready to expedite everyone's entrance
Is the venue easy to find?
Yes! It’s 800 yards from junction 3 of the M6, within easy reach of the M1 and M40. There’s an on-site train station, ‘Coventry Arena’, plus three more train stations within 8 miles. It’s 20-minutes’ drive from Birmingham International Airport, and 55 minutes by train from London Euston.
How do I find the entrance?
Please enter the Arena via the South Entrance into the new South Pavillion Entrance. You will then find the entrance to the Event on your left-hand side, clearly signposted.
Access for Disabled Visitors
The entry route described above into the venue from the car parks is step-free and takes you into the ticketing area. To get from there to the Events' main spaces on the floor below, disabled visitors will use a lift located by the entrance. Venue staff and stewards will be available to assist with this.
Is there parking on site?
Yes. As there will be another event happening simultaneously to The Prosthetics Event (TPE) on the day, CBS Arena allocated Car Park C to TPE visitors. The location for vehicle access to this car park can be found HERE or HERE (click links)
Please note, parking here is charged for; you can pre-book and pre-pay for parking or pay on arrival. Parking for the Event will be in Car Park C
Booking and accessibility Details: CBS Arena - Parking
What age do you have to be to attend?
There is no official age restriction but under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. If you’re bringing a child, we need to advise you that there will be casualty, gore and monster effects on display plus partial nudity in the Body Art Zone as the artists create their full body art pieces. If you are happy that this is suitable for the child in question, you’re welcome to bring them along.
Can I always get a seat in the Main Stage or Education Stage?
The Main Stage is limited to 600 seats, and the Education Stage is limited to150 seats. They both operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so we advise queueing early! You can not jump the queue to join an acquaintance already on the queue. We also ask that no seats are reserved using bags or coats; you will be asked to move them if this is the case. Please move all the way along the rows of seating, ensuring all seats are filled.
If you arrive at the door to a stage and there are no seats available, we are sorry but we cannot overfill those rooms due to strict Fire Safety and Health & Safety regulations, and you will not be permitted entry. Rude or aggressive behaviour towards the staff and volunteers will not be tolerated.
Is there a Cloakroom to store coats and bags?
No, there isn’t a cloakroom for attendees to use, so please plan how to look after all your belongings in advance. The Prosthetics Event will vacate the venue shortly after closing time and will not be able to take care of any lost possessions left behind by attendees.
Can I buy food at the Event?
Yes, CBS Arena has on-site restaurants, a bar and brasserie, a coffee shop and a bakery. Food and drinks can not be taken into the Lecture Halls or Retailer Expo
Can I get a refund if I can't come?
No, tickets are non-refundable. All sales are final, and no refunds will be given for any reason including due to Covid-related issues. You are, however, entitled to a refund of the face value of tickets purchased if the event is cancelled.

Will there be tickets on the door? (probably not)
If there are tickets left there will be some to buy on the door at a cost of £55.00 inc VAT. This is not guaranteed however, and previous events have sold out well in advance, so early booking is advisable.
It is essential that you check if there are tickets left before you travel; please do not assume they will be available as you may be disappointed. The number of people allowed in the venue is restricted by health and safety regulations, and if there are no tickets left on the day, The Prosthetics Event cannot allow you in if you arrive without having booked.
